Join us in March for a breakfast munch & learn to hear what the future holds for the Portland marketplace with exciting changes to the convention center and hotel inventory.

Cindy Wallace of the Oregon Convention Center and Desiree Everett of Travel Portland will take to the stage to update us on the renovations to one of the city's largest meeting spaces and how this will impact the convention sales landscape for the future.

Cindy Wallace, CMP, CMM is the Director of Sales and Marketing for the Oregon Convention Center.  Cindy is a native Oregonian and graduate from Oregon State University.  She’s been in the Meetings Industry for over 21 years and has worked at the Oregon Convention Center for a collective 15 years.  Her background is in catering and facility sales, account management and business development.  Cindy is a driving force in her organization and is currently spearheading an internal brand initiative and is co-managing a $40 million dollar renovation to be completed in October of this year.  It was just recently announced that Cindy was selected as a member of Portland Business Journal’s 2019 Women of Influence class.


Desiree Everett, CMP, CGMP is the Director of Convention Sales for Travel Portland.  In her role, Desiree leads a dynamic all-female team in telling the Portland story to secure convention and meeting business for the greater Portland metropolitan region.  Desiree has a passion for hospitality and has worked in the industry for over 30 years.  She started her career working for Hyatt Hotels.

Desiree is a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), Certified Government Meeting Professional (CGMP) and she holds a Bachelor of Arts in Management & Organizational Leadership.

Originally from Washington, Desiree has lived in Portland since 1994 and is the proud mother of two college aged children.  Her favorite activities include running and cycling, followed by enjoying the amazing food & wine bounty Oregon offers with friends and family.
